„INNOVATIVE 5G DATA TRANSMISSION MODULES WITH VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AND DATA
ANONYMIZATION FOR MOBILE MACHINES AND RAIL TRANSPORT“

Commesh with the partners 8devices and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University will implement the project „Innovative 5G data transmission modules with video surveillance and data anonymization for mobile machines and railway transport" No 08-004-K-0023, which is financed by the European Union (with funds from the Economic Recovery and Resilience Plan "New Generation Lithuania") under the 2022-2030 Progress Measure.

Project duration 07/2023 – 12/2025

Project value EUR 4 063 211,82

EU funding EUR 1 933 561,57

The aim of the project is to create high-bandwidth wireless communication equipment with 5G, WiFi6 and WiFi7 technology that will ensure high-speed performance suitable for today's user needs and an extremely low-power 5G video surveillance system with face depersonalization (5GVS).

The project addresses the problem of stable 5G connection for video and audio transmission in a dynamically changing environment, for the solution of which it is intended to create specialized hardware and software solutions, on the basis of which it would be possible to offer new products for rail transport, car-sharing platforms and widely geographically distributed grids of location-monitoring Internet of Things elements.

Key aspects of the project:
- The project aims to develop innovative 5G data transmission modules that will provide high-bandwidth wireless connectivity and can be adapted to mobile machines and rail transport.
- The 5G network provides high data traffic speed and low latency, which are essential for the operation of mobile communications and video surveillance systems.
- The project addresses the requirements for personal data protection and anonymization in video and audio transmission.
- The application of innovative 5G data transmission modules with video surveillance and data anonymization
- new business opportunities. This may include solutions for law enforcement institutions, the transport
sector, logistics and other industries.

The project will also contribute to the digital transformation and competitiveness of Lithuania. Thus, the successful implementation of the project will help increase the accessibility of transport infrastructure, high-bandwidth wireless communication equipment will allow users to access the Internet anywhere in the transport infrastructure, improve the efficiency of the transport infrastructure, high-bandwidth wireless communication equipment will allow transport service providers to provide their services more efficiently, reduce transport costs and improve the quality of services, increase the security of the transport infrastructure, an ultra-low-power 5G video surveillance system with face anonymization will allow for more effective management of the transport infrastructure and ensure security, will help reduce the number of traffic accidents and prevent crime.
